Sales Enablement

Experiences are the ultimate relationship building tool to help keep your brand top of mind with your audience. What’s important to know is how people learn in a constructed environment that not only added stickiness to products, but created advocates that are evangelical about a brand.

Curious how to train the masses on your launch?

You’re racing to the finish line to complete your product launch and now you need to create an environment to train the field team. Creating corporate training, experiences, games and tools for your brand champions helps them understand the features and functionality. Training strategies rooted in adult learning psychology win.

How to get the most from your training team?

Sometimes there are too many things to accomplish and not enough training team members or time. For already productive training teams thorough instructional design is important to help teams bask in the glory of meeting a deadline. From team leadership to getting in the weeds with instructional design, teams who are empowered, win.

Manufacturing a learning environment comes in many different combinations, but here are some favorites:

Videos | Product Demos | Onboarding | Job Aids | Mnemonics | Installations

The three biggest training blunders to avoid:

1.png

TMI.

No one likes information overload. Building upon the knowledge base learners already have helps relate the information to a foundation of previous mastery. Make training fun and snackable so whoever you are training will want to keep learning clicking.

Omit activity.

Postponed implementation leads to over 50% decline in retention. Build activities to encourage trainees to process what they’ve been taught, which shortens the time between learning and applied knowledge through training activities.

Engagement.

Everyone learns differently, but delivery of the same message in a variety of ways leads to a deeper understanding and increased chances of more memorable content. No matter how your learning environment it’s about creating a space built for edutainment.

Case Study: TrūAura

While I’ve mastered experiential training for a variety of brands, this case study is for the up-and-coming direct selling company, TrūAura.

TrūAura hired me to refine their onboarding, sales and leadership experiences - then debut them at their annual live field training event. The training was approached with a digital first environment, leveraging both intrinsic and extrinsic motivation factors to create and inspire change. To achieve this goal, a deep dive into the existing capabilities of the brand paired with the psychology of the field helped build a 4D learning environment that helped to create an invigorating 3 days. The result was a blended training of digital activations, group work, and role play to solidify the sales and leadership tactics and tools.
